Shin’s Sewing / Alterations offers a full Alterations & Repairs Service for Ladies, Gents and Childrens garments from casual wear to special occasion wear.  There is a spacious changing room available with no rush as care and attention is our priority at all times.

I offer a service from replacement zips on your favourite jeans to trousers shortenings, skirts and evening wear alterations.  I apply the same high levels of quality and craftsmanship to each and every job. Since I set up my business I have come to learn that with my expertise in the sewing trade and both mine and customers ideas and input we can come together with our thinking, expanding combined ideas thus ending in an excellent happy service with satisfied results all round. As it is myself that does all the work of all clothing alterations and repairs and they are all carried out on the premises, there is normally a weeks turnaround service for most of the work. Bridal and special occasion wear may take longer but in some circumstances there is a possibility for a quicker turnaround on more day to day wear and repairs – please ask Carol for details. We also offer a curtain shortening service, all enquiries are welcome. Here at Shin’s Sewing / Alterations we have the experience to refit your clothes in a way that most other services don't know or offer. This means sometimes the actual work is more complicated and takes longer to do, but you will get a much better result especially with bridal and evening wear and tailored garments. The sewing is also carried out so it looks the same or better than the manufactured finish. If a detail can't be replicated or will work out very expensive we will advise you of an alternative method. We strive to make you as happy as possible with our work and charge fair prices for a first class and prompt service. Alterations: If your new clothes need taking up, or your favorite clothes are not fitting comfortably or need repairing we can help! We are able to offer excellent Problem Solving solutions. Bridal Alterations: We offer high quality wedding dress alterations, restyling or remodeling, we also offer a grooms fitting service together with a fitting service for brides mothers and brides maids.
